Make the scope clear before agreeing a price
Include business and client details, issue date, item descriptions, quantities, units, prices and applicable tax. State the validity date, proposed schedule and payment terms. Check any requirements specific to your trade and customer.
Describe deliverables, exclusions and how additional work is approved. A written acceptance helps both parties retain the agreed version; keep a copy in your own records.
Example to adapt
Describe the expected outcome and scope boundary. Replace “call-out” with “find a leak in the internal pipework, including access to the meter”. Specify excluded parts, travel and additional work.
