Questions before you send
How should I price this job?
Measure the actual quantities and enter your own costs and margin. Prices start blank so you can prepare a proposal for the agreed scope.
Which units should I use?
Use an hour, item, area or clearly defined fixed-price service as appropriate. Explain what each quantity covers so the client can check the amount.
Which taxes apply?
There is no single sales tax rate for every US business. Your state, locality, activity and transaction determine whether tax applies and which rate to use. The editor starts at 0% so you can enter the verified rate. Check the state tax authority and the SBA guidance. Quotisa calculates the entered rate; it does not determine nexus, exemptions or filing obligations.
Does the PDF replace a required invoicing system?
Include your business and client details, a unique number, issue and service dates, a clear description, quantities, prices, applicable tax and payment terms. Requirements vary by state, trade and transaction. A PDF can record your commercial invoice. Check state requirements and preserve the records needed for your business. Quotisa does not file taxes, transmit documents to authorities or verify your legal status.
Where are my documents saved?
